Overview

MornLift ("we", "our", or "the app") takes a local-first, privacy-respecting approach to your data. We believe your personal information should stay personal. This policy explains what data MornLift collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

MornLift collects no personal data. The app does not require an account, email address, or any identifying information to use.

On-Device Data

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • Your name (used for personalized affirmation display only)
  • Selected affirmation categories and preferences
  • Favorited affirmations and custom affirmations
  • Streak data and affirmation history
  • App settings (theme, reminder time, etc.)

iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your app data is synced across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is managed by Apple under their privacy policy and is not accessible to MornLift. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device settings.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No email addresses or account information
  • No location data
  • No cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers
  • No third-party analytics or tracking services
  • No data sold or shared with third parties

Payments

All payments for MornLift Premium are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. MornLift never receives, stores, or has access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

Third-Party Services

MornLift does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external services used are:

  • Apple App Store — for app distribution and payment processing
  • Apple CloudKit — for optional iCloud data sync (user-controlled)
  • Apple Push Notification Service — for daily reminder notifications (user-controlled)

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, you can delete all MornLift data at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone. If you use iCloud sync, you can also remove synced data through your iCloud settings.

Children's Privacy

MornLift does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to use.

GDPR Compliance

MornLift is fully GDPR compliant. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to process. You have the right to data deletion, which is achieved by simply deleting the app. No data portability request is necessary as all data is already stored locally on your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of MornLift after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
